Hi my friends
had Sad News today my Mother in Law unexpectedly passed away at home she lives in Colwyn Bay, my brother in law found her in her chair with the telly still on and curtains still drawn this morning as he went to take her news paper, she was 85 and had all her faculties it was just her legs that wasn't very good since after her fall last year, it seems she had an heart attack, don't know yet till postmortem, it's hit my hubby hard as so unexpected, so i have been keeping myself busy crafting.
So i know you will understand if i'm not on here for a while.
Here is a card i made yesterday
Lovely sunny day here but quite chilly in the shade
I was in the friendship swap over at Trimcraft
My swap partner is MayJay
she has the card now so i can show it here i also made her a bookmark with an owl as she loves them.
I made the card in a vintage style
Mostly diecutting and embossed and embellishments stamped a friendship verse on back of bookmark.
She loved them, so was very chuffed about that.
This is what i got from MayJay
A beautiful card with a stamped butterfly
and 2 surprise atc's
Are'nt they beautiful
I have some wonderful friends on Trimcraft and it was Trimmy friends that got me blogging
So thank you to my Trimcraft and Blog friends would'nt be here today if it was'nt for you.
made a tag last night from my bits and bobs that you keep for years, don't know about you
but i never throw anything away, so i am a crafting hoarder lol!!
and this is what i came up with lot of inking and some stamping, and embellishments, the butterfly i have had for 2 years it was from a set, the flower i inked the edges the green petals i painted with shimmering h20 and
a touch of brown, and added a stick on pearlised centre,
the tag i inked and the bird and leafs and stamped a flurish onto the bird and spritzed
Here is an atc i made with my old bits and bobs from my old stash box.
I love using up my odd bits on atc's and tags with an image.
I Stamped the image onto a heart shaped flower frame, and decoupaged the little flowers as i had 2 of these frames, and added little stick on pearls which i coloured red with a promarker, then added small embellishments.
To hold the easel i used a button with a paper rose on top.
hope your all having a lovely day, i had a lovely meal out last night with my friend Nancy we went to the local Indian restaurant we go there once a month and have a slap up meal swilled down by a lovely coffee liquor it was so yummy, so had a good pig out again eh eh.
Here is one of the xmas cards i made today.
The image is from the Crafty Pad Christmas Ted bringing home snowman designed by lovely Debbie
I coloured in with Crayons and promarkers.
Papers from my stash
Embossed snowflakes on cuttlebug and inked.
Corrugated blue paper.
Blue mirri board
Stamped snowflakes added glitter and brad.
Applied ribbon and sentiment.
There's lots of sparkle but it doesn't show up on camera.
Lovely Dazie nominated me and i was quite taken back, and excited at the same time.
and so very nervous, as this is my first GD.
I got an email from Joanne about the theme autumn doodles, Omg i thought i haven't doodled since school lol!! what will i come up with.
So here is my doodles creation for my GD at C.Y.D.A
I inked the background, so it looked like a sunset
then i doodled the oak tree with a lead pencil and the owl, i colour blended the tree with promarkers henna and canary, and penciled over for detail.
doodled some leaf's on the tree and coloured with red.
I then stamped the grass, i also doodled a oak leaf and acorn i inked the oak leaf in a light brown and edged with orange promarker, added glossy accents brought the veining up quite nice, when dry i cutout, and applied to card with foam pads, made a quote on a label on pc cutout and inked edges and curled 2 corners.
Matted onto yellow card edged with brown ink, then onto spotty paper, and added corner peeloffs.
Hope you like my GD project
the DT team have made lovely cards on this theme so please do go and take a look HERE and i hope you have a go at this fab Challenge AUTUMN DOODLES
Here is the the prize for the winner
wow what a great prize so good luck to all that enter.
Thank you all at C.Y.D.A for the opportunity to be a guest designer
which i so enjoyed.
Another Challenge on Trimcraft make your own stamp Hosted by Rozzy
I made a flower Stamp and a butterfly Stamp from foam shapes.
Used 4 foam heart shapes and cutoff points
drawn a design on each heart, and the same with the butterfly with a pencil,
glued the heart shapes to my stamp block and put together to make a flower,
i stamped both, and cutout, painted the flowers with H2o LuminArte' Apple Blossom
and recopied the design with a red pen, and glittered centres, and curled each petal.
With the butterfly i made red dots with a gel pen, and painted with H2o LuminArte' Oyster to give a little shimmer, and curled wings.
Matted and layered with spotty paper and mirri card added bow, stamped sentiment, a diecut branch, and wire for the butterfly antenna.
Here is my make for the Challenge
Hope you like my first attempt at making my own stamps
as i really enjoyed this challenge.
Hugs Betty x x
